We’re talking none other than Jasmine Brown and Ashley Brehm.
Having met 6 years ago during their freshman year in high school, Jasmine and Ashley have formed a relationship that is admirable. Was it friendship at first sight? Read on to catch our latest girl talk as these two gave us the 411 about their first impressions of one another and more!
WS: Take us back to the day you both met—what was your first impression of one another?
Jasmine: Ashley and I met during our freshman year of high school. We were both on the same volleyball team, but weren’t really close until sophomore year when we had a lot of classes together. She was really cool and nice. We got along well during class.
Ashley: I remember thinking she had super pretty hair! Aside from that, I remember thinking she was really nice.
WS: If your bestie could spend the day kickin’ it with any celebrity, who would she choose and why?
Jasmine: George Clooney. She’d marry him if she could. So, I think she’d wanna spend a day with him since she is already engaged and can’t marry him anymore.
Ashley: This is probably the easiest question. Beyonce, of course!
WS: Tell us about one of your fondest memories together?
Jasmine: I would have to say when we went to Florida together last summer, it was so much fun. And, was really our first trip ever together and it was out of state. We went all around Florida adventuring and went to beach (a beach is a big thing for us since we lived in the middle of nowhere in Texas) we got to ride one of those huge water bikes that floats in the water, found a shell with a creature in it and we both got to be in Tampa swim week that year. I had my GoPro camera with me so I made a video and can go watch that whenever I want to relive it. It was really really fun!
Ashley: Jas and I have been friends for a very long time, so picking my fondest memory is difficult, because there are so many. However, I’d have to say my favorite would be when we were seniors in high school and we would always leave our yearbook class to do interviews and collect data, when really, we were running around campus laughing, taking a million pictures and talking the entire class period.
WS: How would you describe one another’s personal style?
Jasmine: Ashley’s style is a lot like mine. We PRETTY much wear and like the same exact things. For example, when picking out outfits for our #OOTN video, we both were picking the same things. But me, I like a more edgy style she likes edgy too but likes to throw in a little bohemian flair.
Ashley: Jasmine has a very unique style. She loves things that are bold and different, and she rocks them. Every outfit she puts on is thought out and eye-catching. Her style is just as sophisticated and fun as she is!
WS: What are 3 things you know your bestie can’t live without?
Jasmine: Well I know NOT her phone ’cause this girl takes 3 days to reply to my texts. But really, it would be her Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow LOL, chap stick, and me of course!
Ashley: If there is anything Jasmine can’t live without—it’s her cellphone, Taco Bell, and me of course!
WS: It’s pretty apparent that you share an undeniable bond. What do you feel makes your friendship unique and strong?
Jasmine: We are basically the same person in different bodies. We act just the same, say the same things, we grew onto each other. And, it’s very rare to still be friends with someone you were friends with in high school, so I think that’s makes us unique and makes our friendship strong since we stuck together throughout the good old high school drama. And, I know a part of it had to do with us still staying in the same town after high school, because a lot of people didn’t. That’s how friends become distant. and even though I now moved to a different state, I hope to stay just as close without anything or anyone ruining that.
Ashley: Over the years, Jasmine and I have have become very close, and even though we don’t see each other everyday, we talk everyday and I know I can always count on her, just like she can count on me. She’s like a sister to me! Anytime we hangout, there’s never a dull moment and there’s always plenty of Taco Bell and laughing.
WS: What do you most admire about one another?
Jasmine: I admire Ashley because she is beautiful inside and out, and she’s always there for me. When I need to rant about something I know I can go to her. We have been through a lot. A lot of friends have come and gone in our friend circle, but she’s still here by my side even being 1000+ miles apart.
Ashley: The thing I admire most about Jasmine is her drive to always be better and never give up. She works harder than a lot of people I know and when she has her mind set on something, no one can tell her she can’t achieve it. She’s an awesome person with a big heart!
WS: Lastly, give us your own definition of the popular phrase—#BestieGoals.
Jasmine: My definition of #BestieGoals is friends that SLAY together and stay together. Friends that can joke about anything and make any moment funny and memorable. When people can see how much fun y’all are having together, taking best friend pictures together and just looking bomb together. YASSSSS!
Ashley: To me, the definition of #BestieGoals would be friends that grow AND glow together. Friends that encourage each other and slay!
