#WetSealLoves Olivia Manzo

You know how the saying goes, “let your dreams take flight.” When you have a dream and passion for doing what you love, there’s something very special about seeing that blossom in multiple ways. We have major respect for individuals who go after what they want and put in the work to make things happen. Recently, we caught up with gymnast and up-and-coming model, Olivia Manzo who’s already off to a great start in making her mark in the industry. Read on to catch our interview, learn more about Olivia and be inspired by her transitional summer to fall looks.

WS: Tell us Olivia, what is it about modeling that you LOVE?

Olivia: There are many reasons why I LOVE being a model, but I realized I love having the opportunity to express a side of myself that I can’t in everyday life. Modeling allows me to step out of my comfort zone and do things I would have never thought I would do before. I get to meet different kinds of people, which is always fun. I also get to travel so there’s never a dull moment.

WS: If you could raid any celebrity’s closet, whose would it be and why?

Olivia: If I could raid any celebrity’s closet, I would so raid Kendall Jenners! She always looks chic, vintage-rocker and feminine. Kendall is always taking fashion risks but still manages to stay classic and simple. She has all of the the best accessories, from her shoes (let’s just applaud now), to her awesome sunglasses, and her amazing handbags which are always trending and on point.

WS: How would you describe your personal style?

Olivia: I actually always like changing up my style. One day I can be urban-vintage, another day sporty with a hip hop style to girly-feminine with a classic look. I’m obsessed with shoes and accessories. Shoes are my weakness and can really change the look of an outfit. I’m currently crushing on the Wet Seal chokers at the moment. LOL! I feel like accessories can dress up any simple look and make it unique and trendy.

WS: We know gymnastics is a big part of your life, how did you get involved with the sport and what is one of your fondest memories?

Olivia: My mom took me to a gymnastics class when I was 3 years-old because I had tons of energy and was always fearless. 13 years later, the sport has made me the person I am today. Gymnastics has taught me to always challenge myself, to work hard for a goal and never give up. One of the fondest memories of being a gymnast has to be when I competed in the 2015 Junior Olympic National competition and finished top 10 in the country.

WS: Lastly, lets talk music. What’s your current summer anthem and why?

Olivia: Music is always a go to for me when I’m bored, going for a run or just need to get going for the day. Rihanna is always on my playlist. I am inspired by her music and her fashion style. My summer 16 anthem is “Work” because that’s all I have been doing since summer started. LOL! The new Drake and Rihanna song “Too Good” has that hang out beach Caribbean vibe and I always have that song on replay when I chill with my friends.
